I have been to BRIDLINGTON,this morning, just got back this lunch time, and I have to AGREE the resort has nothing to give as a seaside resort,it has just stood still, over many years living in YORKSHIRE [SCARBOROUGH] I have seen the DECLINE its sad really, the resort [like many resorts, were so popular in the 59s 60s a true working mans holiday not like its neighbour SCARBOROUGH[,who have made progress] the place is a ghost town in its heyday it would get the big money MINERS from WEST YORKSHIRE sadly no more no coal,so many shops are boarded up the SATURDAY market is so sparse, for the month of JUNE the place should be busy not so I sit painting this sad picture of BRIDLINGTON,over the years when my late wife was alive we spent many happy days in the resort,as we say its a sighn of the times in towns cities all over the country quite worrying really. One can still find brilliant seaside resorts in YORKSHIRE SCARBOROUGH,FILEY, WHITBY,in fact the county has so much to offer,so don't let iy put you off. PS A SPEEDBOAT ride around the harbour [15 minutes,2 pounds BRIDLINGTON..]A south beach SCARBOROUGH a 3 miute DONKEY ride 3 pounds does that say something. tb|
