Sticks and stones will break my bones,
but words will never hurt me.
Not true. Hurtful words last forever. They may not draw blood, bugt they leave scars on the heart and mind which take a long time to heal. Some never heal.
I wonder if believers of the famous adage are sometimes thoughtless, callous writers and speakers of hurtful words? If they think "words" can't hurt them, then maybe they don't think twice about using hurtful words to and about others.
I was called "verbose" by someone on THIS board. They also wrote I am conceited, arrogant, and offensive. This person claims to be a rock solid, devout Christian. Another "Christian" made it clear we have nothing in common and should not communicate. Another follows the advice of another who put up a piece on narcissistic personalities and disorders. Christian chorus consensus was somebody they identified as a narcissist should be left alone, cut out, and ignored until they go away.
I'll say it clearly. These self righteous, self identified "Christians" talk up storms of opinions and judgments aimed at the left they dislike, including beliefs a person must lean "right" in order to be a real Christian.
"To a nice foot kisser." - Dick Eckoff.
"To a king sized dope!" - David Talbott.
"To the king sized dope!" - Shirley Huddleston.
"Catch any big bugs lately bug boy?" - Kurt Pichon.
Written in the school yearbook 1967.
"This" place is just like junior high all over again. In the Youth Friendship Room I was jumped from behind by a large, fat boy who sat on my chest with a switchblade held to my throat. Was told to stay away from his girl, or else.
Fine examples of upstanding outstanding moral Christian principles and values. (Observer; your remarks to Ken about us didn't go unnoticed, or unappreciated for the other things they are.)
