IMO we see some of this in the BBS environment as well...
Probably the same psychology. There are those who have strong religious beliefs who genuinely believe that if someone outside of the faith would just LISTEN... or would just READ the writings, that they would inevitably come to the same faith conclusions as the believer. And also on the ethical and even political sides well... If you only knew what I know, you would inevitably come to the conclusion that the act is ethical or unethical as I do. Or you would love/hate the social or political figure in the same way I do. That MY conclusion MUST really be the only one possible IF your analysis isn't flawed. Expected equality of outcome.
