Better off with what? THEIR religion. No different than the French would be better off German than French, because Germans have better lives because of better faith and beliefs.
You can't appeal to people with these beliefs. Nor can they be taught anything like acceptance. The feeling of pity for fear of appearance of an owl, or a dreamtime memory is exactly that sense of superiority that leads to exclusion, then more serious exclusion, judgment, and ultimately persecution- especially when embraced as a "policy" of the state.
I see and feel it first hand from THIS board. When I am told I am verbose, or offensive, or conceited, or arrogant, followed by deliberate exclusion by the righteous perps to have NO contact, or as little contact as possible, well- there it is! Or when I am told I should just stick to writing about music, because I obviously don't know enough about anything else to have a voice- to DESERVE a voice- there it is, all for the "sin" of being different.
"My beliefs are wrong. My faith is wrong. My politics are wrong too." - Their words and beliefs. Not mine. We all know where that resides in American Christian nationalism. If I believed these people, I would either have to change my lifelong path of learning to embrace theirs as THE superior way, or continue on as I am in my misery that in the best empathy of which they're capable, draws their pity.
"I cannot possibly be happy in my beliefs."
That goes for any and all of us.
To be different is no sin. You'd think by the scorn and condemnation it receives, it is an ultimate sin. That is another ugly head of American Christian nationalism, risen alive and well right here on this board.
I noted where you were... told off. Three little words. You are wrong.
At the bottom of the lead page is a list and evidentiary indicator of American Christian nationalism in development.
