I have a sister who has struggled with obesity for a very long time. She finally started taking those shots because she needed to lose weight before they would let her have knee surgery, which she really needs to do before it is too late for that. So she has now lost enough weight to have the surgery, but I was wondering about what would happen if she stays on or decides to go off those shots? It sounds like they don't really have enough information about all that yet.
It's nice to know about the scientific reasons and causes behind weight gain and the food industry, though I'm not sure they have all the answers yet. It's still a mystery to me that some people tend to get caught in the trap of eating too much and not being satiated, and some people don't seem to have that problem. My sister would eat a lot of healthy food in her diet, along with some not so healthy food, but she just never seemed to be satiated and would just eat too much, while I pretty much would eat the same kinds of food as her, but didn't feel like I needed to keep eating so much to be satisfied. I've never even been on a diet in my life. So... who knows?
