Less than $1000, it was plumbing related to jets on the tub on our bathtub.
They either DIY-ed or hired a handyman to fix the leak found on the home inspection and claimed it had been fixed. We hired a plumber who diagnosed the root cause (clearly broken before we took ownership of the house) and the cost to repair it, previous owners dug in against it with a lot of excuses about why they weren’t obligated to pay (their realtor tried to convince them to pay). We even offered to pay for 1/2 after they rejected that, we thought about it but decided to put it behind us. Previous Message Previous Message stuff delivered to my new house but addressed to the previous owner (in Illinois)? My fiancée and I moved into a new house 2 months ago. The previous home owner screwed us over on some repairs that were supposed to be made and never were and we elected to just swallow the loss rather than go through the court system. Yesterday we came home to find a ton of product from Sam’s that was delivered but no indicator as to who it was for. Today there was an additional box addressed to our house and the previous owner also from Sam’s. Edit: We and the previous owners both live in Illinois. What exactly are our rights as far as this stuff? From what we can piece together some of it was delivered by our local Sam’s and one by Fed-Ex.
