Re: My New Keyboard Is Here!
It's several tabs ALL around the frame of the keyboard. Normally the frame and keyboard are one. There are small tabs that hold the frame to the keyboard on the inside of the frame. I actually broke the frame (you can see in the pic) on my first keyboard trying to get it off of the laptop. Luckily HP sent the keyboard with the frame. It's really hard to flex the frame when it's connected to keyboard and lift out the tabs with out any damage. That's why it's SO much easier when the frame is separated from the keyboard. When both are separate, you just put the keyboard on the laptop and then maneuver the frame so that tabs lock in place again. You never know the two were separated once you lock in the outside tabs. Luckily I still had my old frame and keyboards to show you Keyboard without frame http://www.dropbox.com/s/6wb4jtz45z33jul/keyboard.jpg?raw=1 Frame. You can see the bottom tabs. There are smaller tabs just like those all around the outside of the keyboard. http://www.dropbox.com/s/42hfvfg878mqez0/frame.jpg?raw=1 Both put together http://www.dropbox.com/s/wufisquumg7ahus/key-frame.jpg?raw=1 btw, you can't tell that I've replaced the keyboard. It's still looks factory.
