Thinking more about it, using metalanguage to talk about language (i.e. grammar) is natural while using metalanguage to make sense of a strictly wordless phenomenon such as music is not; when I was learning about music at first it was from books read inside the library becausr my card had been revoked for not returning two books I lost, and I would have to go home and only then apply what I had read in music listening. The Greenberg course may actually make some sense to pursue. If only it weren't so time-heavy.
The Twilight Zone movie is terrible.
