but in another interview I remember him talking about how Soviet Science Fiction could get away with satire that adult realistic fiction couldn't, because the censors who dealt with Science Fiction treated it as children's literature and didn't read it as deeply. I don't know why he didn't mention that in an article *all about* Soviet SF, unless it was the knowledge that his article would probably be looked at by the USSR publishers since he was clearly invited for PR purposes, and he didn't want to tip them off. I think the other interview I thinking about came much later.
