Yep I had to turn it off right there and then due to how repetitive and boring it is
This is like a simplified retarded boring version of the Stravinsky's ostinato composing method
Have a a repeating simple primitive riff, Then just (Very slowly) layer another simple primitive riff over the top of it over a harmonic static background (in this case key of C)
I would actually prefer listening to Schoenberg and Stravinsky over this garbage. At least the former composers are at least somewhat exciting, dynamic and have contrast at least in volume, timbre (even if not always in harmonies)
At least there is something going on (even if it's awful to listen to) instead of this tedium
If this idea of a return to traditional tonality as a reaction against the growing dissonance of avantgarde music. Why do they have to go to the other extreme and just have music stuck in one key with perfect consonance and no changes?
What happened to well-balanced composers instead of people going into extremes in a futile search for "originality"
THe system of tonality is based on the idea of tension and rest.
you can't just write music purely with tension and you can't write music purely with rest.
It's the synthesis of the two that makes music interesting. Tension from dissonance that resolves into consonance that is interesting.
God damn I hate the 20th century
