What I meant was that the tour itself was promoting Hoist, not that there were songs on the album from it, really. A Live One was their first live album, and I think it was put out to present their "real" sound on record. It also features mostly songs not found on studio albums, or ones not even close to fully realized in studio. So it's really quite essential in that sense, I guess. Also, isn't its construction, mixing, and production just perfect? Perfect song selection, song order, and immaculate sound. Still my favorite album of theirs.
I think Rock of Ages from The Band is also great timing. Super pompous, awesome album, and it was the last great thing they ever did (the greatest thing imo).
