Just recently rewatched Lawrence of Arabia myself. How did you not notice that it was almost entirely bleak and hopeless the first time around? Just because most of the famous/uplifting scenes from it are all in the first half?
Stereolab starts to branch out a *little* starting from post-Emperor Tomato Ketchup (by going more retro and incorporating more cutesy little tinkly instruments) but the overall vibe never really changes. Is your fake OCD also compelling them to track down the singles comps? Because those are where they're at their best.
I still can't tell whether you actually *liked* Tom Hardy's performance in The Revenant, just based on how you talk about it.
