The 2006 Kenneth Branagh "As You Like It." I thought this was a much better movie than the 6.3 imdb rating suggests, from one of the better of the Shakespeare plays I recently read. In this version, the characters are Europeans living in merchant communities in Japan. Lots of people seem to rag on the Japanese setting as being pointlessly underused, but I thought it made a couple of the plot points easier to swallow (not that it is, or should be, genuinely realistic, but there's more internal logic imho). It's also a little darker and more violent (the usurpation happens on screen rather than before the story opens) without sacrificing any of the humor or whimsy. On the other hand I didn't like all the "wandering camera," and Rosaline's cross dressing made Clark Kent's glasses look like sorcery by comparison.
