I bet you'd have fun w/ Shock Corridor. It's a definite B-picture but really goes for it. As long as you don't take it all that seriously...
Ugh, was it a college class? What always drove me crazy about watching films in college is the constant inappropriate laughter. Granted, sometimes a cheesy, dated moment is worth a laugh, but when it's a large group, it always totally took my focus away.
It was a lot of fun watching those early Hitchcocks. I didn't think that would be the case, but a lot of his signature touches are already there or at least being developed. Clever scripts, meticulous set pieces, etc. They're worth checking out (the ones I saw were The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, Sabotage, Secret Agent, and Young & Innocent).
