I like "Opera"'s disjointedness, that's part of its appeal IMO.
Never sat down and listened to a Bruce album in full but I hate his songwriting. Cliched bullshit. His voice sucks too.
I recently dl'd a 2 disc 2pac hits comp. Don't love everything on there and certainly don't think he's the greatest MC of all time but get the appeal and can understand why so many people feel that way about him.
Yeah there's a surprising amount of DMB fans out there but everyone sort of knows they're a joke.
Haven't heard any Replacements but I don't agree about the others being underrated. "Superfly" should be more well-known than it is but think most folks who've heard it acknowledge that it's one of the the best funk albums of all time, if not one of the best albums period (which I agree with). "Dummy" is hugely popular (especially with the 90's nostalgia of recent years). I like it but if anything, it's probably a tad *over*rated. And Hank? Isn't he generally considered to be the most important country musician of all time (again, I agree), even by people who aren't that familiar with him?
