This, basically, but when I do what's-spinning posts writing my thoughts actually lets me concentrate on the albums and process them: when I listen to music my thoughts on the music are rather unformed and raw and when I write about them I feel like I know the record better, for lack of a better word.
I realize that probably nobody here reads or, really, has ever read the what's-reading sections in my what's-spinning posts but it helps me put my thoughts in order. Maybe this isn't a "self-expressive art" so much as a development and recapitulation in my brain but whatever.
I don't read a whole lot of what Trung writes but if he derives some benefit from it, I don't see why he can't knock himself out. Besides he seems impervious to insults and self-doubt.
