I used to take Benadryl or Unisom to unwind and help me sleep but I got put on a prescription anticholinergic and it's not advised to take more than one of them at once (Benadryl and Unisom are also anticholingerics) because of the side effects. They did work well though.
Homeopathy is sometimes used in a loose/incorrect sense of "using herbs/vitamins/whatever" but it's actually a whole (pseudoscientific) system of medicine that claims that (a) what causes symptoms in a healthy body will treat those symptoms in a diseased one (think using poison ivy to treat an itch, or coffee beans to treat sleeplessness), and (b) the more diluted this symptom-causing substance is, the more effective. Basically what homeopaths do is take an amount of a substance and dilute it to the point where literally none of the original substance remains. I saw that many of the remedies on the Hyland's site (and Zicam) uses substances that are less diluted than typical homeopathic "medicine" -- so much less diluted that they are or might actually be biologically active -- and so some of it might work.
