new Magnetic Fields album

I know there are some folks on here who don't really like them but I also know there are some people who really do. If you're into them I highly recommend their new album. it's yet another epic gauntlet (2 and a half hours long, only 20 minutes shorter than 69) and for some reason Stephin Merritt thrives in that format since there are more good songs on here than any album he's made since 69 Love Songs. Since each song chronicles specific events in Merrit's life there are none of the pointless gimmick tracks that a decent chunk of 69 was taken up by (well aside from the fact that the album's concept to begin with is kind of a gimmick but whatever). I don't know if the highs are quite as high (there's nothing quite as good as "Papa Was A Rodeo" on here), but obviously this will take a long time to digest all of so that might be too soon to say. It's very consistent.
Anyone else heard it?
