I realized the other day that today's high-school sophomores (juniors? 16yo as of fall 2016 turning 17 during the year) were born in 2000. I haven't seen the "to today's incoming college freshmen, there has always/never been..." lists designed to make you feel old in a few years though, though to be honest the further I get from high school the more high-schoolers/college freshmen seem like kids anyway (and I feel more of an adult) so it doesn't hit me as hard as it did when I was in my mid 20s.
