This is a hilarious comment:
The Saturday morning cartoons that ran from 1776-1940 were my favorite. It is a shame to see our 238 year old tradition of Saturday morning cartoons end. I used to love the animated series Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riding Mystery Solvers. I also enjoyed the old timey family cartoon "The Lincolns". My favorite would have to be the "EX-MEN", the one where the first five ex presidents teamed up to fight crime using their superpowers...
Terrible headline. Definitely not the first time in America with no saturday morning cartoons. I think you meant to say
THE FIRST WEEKEND IN AMERICA WITH NO SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS SINCE THE MID 1960
