Where I am on Lost, season 3 episode 8.
-So part of the reason you hate Kate is because she slept with Nathan Fillion?
-They missed a major opportunity not having Trucker Locke blow away that twerpy cop played by Tom Cruise's annoying son from War of the Worlds. A MAJOR opportunity for revenge there blown.
-Michael Bowen was getting really annoying (really one-note) and I'm almost glad he was given a lame, quick death sequence.
-God help me but I'm getting very burnt out on non-Island back-story episodes. I'd already forgotten that Kate blew up her dad or whatever the hell it was.
-I think Steve Carell actually may have given his John Eluethere (sp?) du Pont performance by ripping off some of Michael Emerson on this show. They look suspiciously like brothers at least.
-GOOD LORD sound effects people! Enough with the punches to the face that sound like watermelons being smashed! Enough with people getting their faces pounded in and then not really being hurt by any of it!
-I think it may be a plus that Eko didn't last very long. His death was ridiculous of course but the episode otherwise was mostly very good. I mean, it's interesting how the show will kill off newer characters this quickly.
-I've been watching scenes from Alex Cross, the Tyler Perry movie where Matthew Fox played the zero-body-fat bad guy. This is because whenever Fox tries to get intimidating or fight back against the Others on Lost he registers about a half rung up the ladder from Pete Campbell telling Lane Pryce "you want to take your teeth out, or do you want me to KNOCK them out?" (Gotta stop spelling that first name "Layne", Jared Harris fronting Alice in Chains would be pretty bad.). No surprises here: Fox is hilariously bad in that movie too. Thank God I didn't watch the whole thing.
