Star Wars isn't the best example because the movies aren't really deep anyway. But while I don't disagree with many of your particular points, a long video game is still shallower than a good book or movie, even a much shorter one. Because it's a shallower medium. If you think otherwise then they way you see art is just too different than the way I see it. As far as whether I've tried out long, world building games with lots of dialogue. Yes, in fact by length comparing my favorite series to KOTOR (which I've never played and tbh probably never will, although it's not 100% out of the question) https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=9111 https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=750 https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=23695 https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=749
Of course I grew up with the earlier versions (The Exile series)
Also my original comment was kind of taking a piss. I figured this conversation had been exhausted so I didn't think you'd bite, but they again it's you so I should have known better.
Really I still prefer the old graphics.
