That really was what happened wasn't it?!? Michelle Rodriguez had to be killed because of her DUI? Frigg. I actually am lamely pop-culture-savvy enough to remember when that happened. I guess we won't be seeing Rachel Ticotin again, then.
Here, I'll say something about Ben Linus: after Jack pounded his face in (because he had lamely believed that the Others had killed Jin, Sayid and Bernard--itself a very lame bit of plotting; so was Sawyer killing Tom, because it was obvious they just needed to get rid of that guy; so was Mikhail seeming to be dead with an arrow through his heart, only to get loose and blow himself up with that grenade....oh well) where was I? Oh yeah, after Jack pounded his face in HE WAS ACTUALLY IN PAIN AND ACTUALLY BLED. I think that's a first on this show? I mean in the first episode I think Sawyer and Michael (Jin? Can't remember) pounded the crap out of each other with blows that sounded like pumpkins being smashed and they weren't hurt or bleeding at all.
Desmond had the nice backstory with him being a monk for like five minutes. And we got to meet Clancy Brown, in spite of his lame death. I didn't believe the logistics of the 108-minutes thing for a second, sort of like how I didn't believe Rousseau would leave her message going for 16 years or whatever. I like watching the "SystemFailure" moment though when he causes the plane crash in this one Youtube video that syncs up all the Flight 815 stuff so you can see the plane go blooey like it did in the pilot, then see it from below like in the season 3 opener.
