Election - I didn't think this was a masterpiece of dark comedy like many folks did when it came out but it's still undeniably unique and works pretty well (kinda wish it had a stronger cast but Witherspoon and Broderick are fine).
M - Lorre is incredible (easy to see why the film put him on the map) but this film itself loses me a bit towards the middle but basically redeems itself at the end. Obviously groundbreaking but I wouldn't rank it among my favorite noir, even though it features one of my favorite actors in one of his greatest roles.
Drugstore Cowboy - Been awhile since I've seen this but always liked it. Guess it could be criticized for making drug addition seem like an adventure but they do manage to show the more realistic dark side as well. Probably the best performance of Matt Dillon's career (not that that's saying much).
Hard Boiled - Not sure if I ever watched the whole thing but it basically seemed like the film version of a OTT shooter video game. Probably the best version of that type of film imaginable (Woo is an undeniably talented action director) but still, that's basically all it is.
