None of these are Black Music, so I don't give a shit

Bernie is arguably low-key responsible for the McConaghey-whatever-thing we've been suffering from the last few years which seems to have finally run its course as not one damn person bothered to see his "benevolent slave owner" Free State Of Jones or whatever it was movie, and Sea Of Trees got the shit booed out of it at Cannes. From an acting standpoint it's got probably Jack Black's best and only performance playing an actual character -- don't prejudge it for casting him, if you hate his usual schtick it's nowhere to be found here. It might be good, it might be a stunt (the same could be said for using the real people to make a documentary/reenactment hybrid). Shirley Maclaine is certainly alive -- is this her last prominent film role? The true crime story is not necessarily fascinating, but it unfolds in an entertaining enough manner.
I'll be honest, it's been almost 20 years since I watched Snatch. It was... OK? If you dig Tarantino knockoff stuff, I guess it's about as good as that sort of thing gets. One thing I will mention is I was never the slightest bit convinced by Brick Top. He was probably the single most unthreatening "Big Boss" bad guy character I've ever seen in a movie. I'm more scared of my weird 85-lb. uncle.
M is essential, one of the most significant films of its time or any time, really. By the way, I just watched Grand Illusion and it was badass, I could totally say the same things about that one as well. Just singing its praises all around. Watch Grand Illusion instead of any of these. It's probably better.
