There's also been the issue of binge-watching and streaming services, and how BrBa is an ideal show for those things.
Before BrBa I actually didn't watch much of any TV shows at all outside of South Park and (god help me) Aqua Teen Hunger Force; since bothering to binge BrBa so I could catch up in time for the last eight episodes (it was "To'Hajilee" that I caught up in time for them, watching the episodes on a Youtube channel the following morning) I've done about 10 shows and sure enough BrBa has been the best of them so far. It was not a feature of my life at all prior to BrBa, even though I'd always been planning to do stuff like The Sopranos and Star Trek and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Someone said that at the time of the last episodes this board was basically about four topics:
3.(forgot what this one was)
The final episodes were fairly hotly debated here. On the anti-final-episodes side were Matt, A. H. and Musicman; I still love them, even though most of what happens in them happens a little too neatly (I hope the Norm MacDonald-spawned rumor about the last episode being a dream sequence actually enters legend.)
