Hey related history question.

Does that book, and serious historians in general, think that the Western frontier was a bigger cause of the War of 1812 than the shipping issues? Sources like textbooks and encyclopedias always seem to pitch it the other way around but looking at what I know about how events were unfolding and who supported and opposed the war it just makes more sense to me that the British support for Tecumseh and Tenskwatawa & Co. was a more fundamental issue. Am I missing something?
