Oh of course there will. These things make too much money not to. But the fact that they haven't announced them yet makes me feel like there will be a extended break after episode 9 of at least a few years. Remember when there was going to be a Boba fett spin-off film the year after episode 9 and then it was cancelled and they still haven't announced a replacement? even though it probably should be starting preproduction by now. maybe it will still happen, but maybe it wont and they'll just leave 9 as the end of this era of star wars. Either way I'd guess maybe 3-5 years tops before they kick the series back into high year after that.
I'd be curious about how they would handle the next three though. they wont wait that long after this trilogy for the next one which means that for the first time ever the next trilogy could take place almost immediately after the current one with mostly the same characters rather than be structured with the "next generation" theme that all the other trilogies have in relation to one another. But then what would the point of the trilogy format even be anymore? Since that would force the story into a continuing narrative rather than semi-self-contained trilogies. I dunno.
