now that we got this stupid metal crap out of the way, why don't we talk about the mod culture of 1979-1982. i freaking love this type of era and it is kinda like new wave and punk and it is jumpy and fast and groovin' all the same. the best mod albums by modern mod revival bands is the chords and their only album. it may sound like 60's music remade for the ramones era but this is really addictive ####ing garage rock stuff. as for the QUADROPHENIA movie this is top stuff from criterion and i got it for thirty bucks. you may want to get closed captions cause they talk in different accents. yeah they were drunk, wild, crazy and stupidly violent but they were fun as the mods battle the rockers. the who did all the remixing all the while other songs by other bands show up on the soundtrack. it is the best cult rock movie joining rock n roll high school as the coolest punk rock movie of 1979. what are your thoughts on the mod culture?
