The other new one, Lift, is a poppy one I've been a fan of for years and years. The studio recording is fine but doesn't really add anything the old live recoding didn't have. In fact there's a synth line on the chorus that's mixed really loud that I find a bit questionable.
It's cool that they've sequenced all the b-sides like a lost Radiohead album. Though like Ken said, you get the feeling they probably knew most of these weren't going to make the final cut, they don't feel as polished or fully fleshed out. Or maybe it's just that they have less whooshing noises dripped over everything.
Some of the songs sound really 90's as well, especially Palo Alto.
The deluxe version has a cassette with a load more rarities on it, which I'm sure will be leaking online sooner or later.
I'll be pleased if they do something similar with the Kid A/Amnesiac sessions, there must be a ton of stuff left over from that.
