Prog opening! Like outright pompous prog opening.
Cheesy synths!!!! Deyong might not be in the band but his spirit lives on.
Vocoder parts “going out to the universe for the future of mother earth”
Actually a pretty cool intro. It’s hokey but fun. I like the drumming a lot.
>Gone Gone Gone
Hey this sounds like Queen. Gowan’s vocals kinda sound like a cross between >Freddie Murcury and Roger Taylor. I
So like "really high" and "even higher than that"?
>Hundred Million Miles from Home
>"I got my hands on the wheel of my rocket mobile” “Your gravitational pull
Is gonna tear me apart” Duh doy
LOOOOLLL!!!! Not to mention the title being ripped off from the Muudy Blooes.
>The Greater Good
The lyrics are a conversation between characters named First Officer and >Locomotive. That’s kinda interesting.
*does spit take*
>All Systems Stable
>This is 17 seconds long, why is this a standalone rack?
Just looking at these titles is cracking me up, let alone the idea of 17-second-long tracks. Okay, off the top of my head Fates Warning and Flower Kings did crud like that too, and so did probably dozens of others...
Piano prog instrumental. Gowan is doing a faux-classical piano part that’s pretty alright. I guess this is supposed to represent the decent of the >spaceship to the planet’s surface.
Oh crud, the same concept as "Watcher Of The Skies"...and with a title like "Kehdrive" you know you're in for solid gold.
>Mission to Mars
More dumb lyrics. These lyrics aren’t as aggressively dumb as I was hoping for >though. “Sparks and quarks, they glow in the dark/They'll someday remark as a walk in the park/This Mission to Mars”
And to think, they were only 17 years too late to put that into the godawful Brian De Palma movie of the same name!!
