Even the "classic" Riders on the storm seems overrate due to it's length and over reliance on riff and atmosphere.
I'll take Rolling Stones "Out Of Control" over The Doors "Riders on the storm" any day. I don't care that the Stones ripped off The Doors. In music it's not the raw material that is important and whoever write the original riff/melodic line is pretty closed to irrelevant, it's how you manipulate it that shows craftsmanship (it irritates me that pop music doesn't have that same attitude as classical music in judging whether the work is plagiarised or not. In classical music, whoever wrote the melody line, riff, motif is irrelevant, what's relevant is the way the composer manipulate it)
