I'd say it's more interesting for Prince fans than just those who are Purple Rain fans only. but I still think there's plenty you'd dig. all the outtakes use basically the same palate of sounds that Purple Rain uses (gotta love that drum machine, and Wendy & Lisa get more vocal appearances) and there are a number of alternate and extended versions of purple rain songs that are pretty fantastic. The 7 minute "Lets Go Crazy" and the 12 minute version of "Computer Blue" are both great. All the B-sides are essential (though if you have "The Hits/The B-Sides then you already have those) especially "Erotic City" which is a fav of mine. The outtakes section of the album does vary in quality cus they just filled the disc with as much music as they could from that era rather then picking specific highlights. But there's plenty of good stuff on there. It's better as an album than just about any of Prince's real albums post-1990 that's for sure haha.
