Yeah the Montage Of Heck film is entertaining for all the clips, archival footage and all that.. At least that's what I took from it as a big Nirvana fan. I didn't expect anything to make me see how much of a saint Kurt was or anything, but I did like seeing new stuff I've never seen before, and just the reality of him as a person and what he went through. A lot of fans saw the same shit millions of times. The interviews were disappointing though. Could have been better. I liked the interviews with his mom, but she looked mentally unstable and a whack job frankly. His sister was cool to see though. Krist and Courtney and others didn't say much of anything informative. Entertaining film, but it's only for hardcore fans imo.
Heard Yield recently.. it's ok. I still think that's where PJ started going downhill as far as doing anything that interests ME personally, but it has some killer songs. "Push me.." and "Do The Evolution" are killer. Why couldn't they do more stuff like that? Low Light and one or 2 others are really good, but still one too many generic rock songs on here.
