My grandmother's going to die soon: she's 88 years old, obese and diabetic half her life (until she went into a home she ignored it, and she's been very non-med-compliant since forever) with congestive heart failure. That makes her sound more frail than she is; she's actually in pretty good health notwithstanding and very spirited. But still she's two years away from ninety and losing both her and my mom at once would really be something.
Plus I would be in line to inherit my mom's cat and while I'll want one eventually to keep me company once my dog dies, my mom's is at just the right age to die around the same time as my dog. So this is actually good all around.
Did your mom have to pass the kidney stones or were they surgically removed?
