The interesting thing about I find about this angle is that after a certain point of replacing old guys with new younger members what you effectively have is a brand new band that just shares a name with the old band and plays their songs at shows. And what would stop this new band from making new music and genuinely becoming relevant again? Only the band's willingness to do so and the talent of the new members. So if anything this might become a bizarre source of bands with recognisable names experiencing unexpected artistic resurgences. At least that would be an optimistic way to look at it.
