I have to admit that Summer Of Love has been spinning in my head recently

I generally have a view that a song has to be doing something right for it to be that memorable for it to be stuck in my head. I think the melody of the chorus could have been used in a different song with a different context that could have potentially work.
I think Summer Of Love seems to be an accurate depiction of an creepy older guy lusting after teenage girls. The Mike Love rap is just dripping with creepy sleaze that I can't imagine anyone else could replicate. I mean he really nailed that vibe that it sounds really sincere
. I can't think of another song that more accurately depict that concept. So perhaps the song has some artistic merit because it best fills the niche of creepy old man lustful pop music and hence is unique.
