"Smokin At The Half Note" is indeed hot. Montgomery was damn good live. This one and "Full House" are all the proof you need.
Not a fan of "Kirk's Work". Kirk hasn't really developed his style yet and McDuff conjures visions of a roller rink.
Let me know how that Lester Young collection is. Might have to grabbit myself.
I gig the hell out of Mike Bloomfield's guitar playing so "East West" is pretty great to me. And groundbreaking as hell.
"Bayou Country" isn't one of CCR's best albums but I don't think there's anything I dislike on it. "Proud Mary", "Keep On Chooglin" and the title track are my favorites.
Gotta disagree with your take on those 2 Doors albums, brahski. The debut has always been my favorite and I consider "LA Woman" their second worst after "Soft Parade".
You heard Crosby's "If I Could Only Remember My Name"? Gotta be the ultimate "as long as we're getting high, play on this song of mine" album. There's so little in the way of actual songwriting. But it has a cool atmosphere and it basically works. Or at least, it works better than I would have expected.
