Vogue was 1990 from, uh, the Dick Tracy soundtrack. The song was probably more successful than the movie.

Did people really "vogue" (as a verb)? Was that a thing?
Madonna's main producers and co-writers at the time, Patrick Leonard and Bill Bottrell, were also responsible for one of my favourite albums of all time, Kevin Gilbert's Toy Matinee. Don't know what their deal was with that. swinging from the most mainstream act of the time to artpop in the same year, I wish they did more stuff like that but I guess it wasn't as lucrative.
