Did any of the Canterbury groups sell a lot of albums?

Didn't think that was the case. I've read professional reviews rather than the online prog nerd stuff you listed, which seem to hold "Nine Feet" in high esteem. Weird that the prog nerds would slam it- they're the type who usually thinks the longer and more complex a piece is, the better. Maybe they thought Caravan were too poppy to pull it off? That's one of the things I like about them- they have stronger pop sensibilities than maybe any other prog band I can think of.
