Dug it so much I snatched up the version with bonus tracks, which doubles the original album's length. Perhaps it is a bit old fashioned for the time it was recorded and released but I think both Lester and Teddy are in great form and it's one of those cases of 2 musical kindred spirits collaborating (like Evans & Hall). Helps one appreciate why Billie loved working with both men- their styles are relatively simple but soulful and emotional. If you listen closely, you can hear Billie's voice.
Also grabbed the "Jazz Giants '56" album with Lester & Teddy as well as Roy Eldridge (who I also need more of) and the "Art Tatum-Ben Webster Quartet" album, which sounds really cool (starting to realize that Webster really thrives when he has good collaborators but is kinda dull when the focus is all on him).
