ThatIsThePlan was a comedy channel where he played a character (several actually depending on the video series). being offended by the views he shared on the channel is not far off from getting offended by the views shared on The Onion. He thinks memes and shitposts are funny and encourages them, so no surprise that the 4chan crowd likes him. Big deal. You don't like his sense of humour, don't watch the videos. He's not inciting hate, he's inciting memes.
He deleted the channel not because he was trying to get rid of incriminating evidence, but because Youtube's demonetisation blacklisted it, which is something that he's been trying and failing to deal with with for many months now. And it's been known for a while that unless something changed he was going to end the channel soon anyway. it was just an unfortunate coincidence that The Fader was trying to put out a hitpiece on him at the same time the ad revenue stuff came to a head.
He's left leaning politically which is obvious to anyone who's followed him for more than five minutes. he's even married to a black woman, and many of his favourite albums are those which tackle black issues. Which makes the article's accusations of him being an alt-right racist ridiculous. His videos about black rappers that this article focuses on were satirising those rappers crappy fan-bases. the anti-feminism stuff is all targeted specifically at SJW tumblr-types (one of whom i suspect probably wrote this article) and those who encourage them, which are the exact kind of feminists who give the good ones a bad reputation and *should* be heavily criticised. he's also publicly criticised most (if not all?) of the "bad" people the article accuses him of being best buds with.
