Remains Of The Day - really really good.
Artist Of The Floating World - pretty good.
Pale View Of Hills - remember it being at least pretty good, but remember nothing else about it.
The Unconsoled - I read about a hundred pages of this before giving it up, but I don't regret doing so because it's a fascinatingly written book - many writers could stand to study it to learn how to set a disorienting mood without overplaying it. If I were to make a "favorite books I couldn't actually finish" list, this would be near the top.
I also really like the movie of Never Let Me Go and have been meaning to read the book.
