The second most famous cyberpunk writer after Gibson is Neal Stephenson who as Stephenson people know, only really wrote one cyberpunk book--and it happened to be his big breakthrough acclaimed hit, Snow Crash. (It's also one of his weakest!)
I guess I just listed that because I've actually read very little cyberpunk literature. I've seen far more films. And BR doesn't really have much "punk" in its "cyberpunk," or for that matter, very much "cyber." The "punk" is mostly just some people you see on the street and Roy Batty's and Pris's clothes.
