St. Etienne - Home Counties. I think this is genuinely one of their best albums, which I wasn't expecting. A couple mediocre songs, but all of their other albums have filler too.
Dawn Richard - Blackheart. I think, as Bjork has gotten kind of mediocre in recent years, she's pretty much filled the vacuum as far as I'm concerned.
Belle & Sebastian - Push Barman... There's a lot of good stuff on this EP compilation, but a lot that's not great - unfortunately that makes me never bother to listen to it.
The Paragons - On The Beach. I'm not much of a fan of reggae and its related genres, but this is a good listen. Most known for "The Tide Is High", but the rest of the album is of comparable quality.
Rachel Sweet - Fool Around. There's a handful of really great songs on here. I haven't paid enough attention to the opener, "Just My Style", but it's a great menacing pop song.
Sparks - Hippopotamus. I like it okay on first listen, more than either FFS or Exotic Creatures.
Wire - Read & Burn 1/2/3, Send, Pf456 Redux. Of these, the last one is the most essential - combines all the tracks on Read & Burn 1/2 and Send, but chops some time off all of them, which most of them need. Read & Burn 3 has two boring opening tracks but the third and fourth are good.
