Meaning what, exactly? From your post, it sounded like they released an average of 2-3 good singles a year for the 5 years of their existence. You could say the same about many other notable 60's groups. I never disputed that The Easybeats were a good, underrated group. I just thought Burks' specific statement was music critic hyperbole bullshit. For the statement to be true, they'd have to have released about 7 singles that were even *better* than "Friday On My Mind" and though I've only listened to that one album of theirs, I'm pretty confident in saying that isn't the case.
The Trung comparison was a joke because he's Australian and your post was a kind of lengthy chronological summary of The Easybeats' career which seemed like something he might post. Give Trung a little more credit- he's definitely proven his ability to be irritating without mentioning classical music (or Sparks, for that matter).
