and I disagree with that. Let's take a 60's group that most would probably agree is 2nd tier, Simon & Garfunkel, who were active during the same timeframe as The Easybeats. How many of The Easybeats' singles are really on the same level as "Mrs Robinson", "Sound of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water" etc? I personally like "Friday On My Mind" more than any Simon & Garfunkel song but I'd never say they were a better group.
Yeah, nobody outside the US cares about Motown. It's not like all the British Invasion guys ravenously devoured (and covered) all those songs or anything.
For my response on why I can confidently say The Easybeats aren't one of the greatest singles groups of the 60's without hearing more than 1 of their albums, see my response to Mr. X. Yes, I admitted my ignorance but said I remain skeptical. Cure my skepticism and post the songs that will back up your claim.
