The Stones' idea of how to do "psychedelic" production--and that had only really been around for a year, no?--is interesting, as Ken said it's like they kind of gave up on it halfway through--creepy organs, weird keyboard noises, strange frapping guitar sounds, cavernous echoey noises, Beatles trumpets and "Brittannia!" horns, playful major key melodies, bongos and jingle bells, that weird droning chord on "2000 Light Years From Home." TSMR *is* one of the first albums I think of when I think of British psychedelia and maybe even in my mind before Sgt. Pepper's, which is more accessible and poppier.
