Almost put George Martin myself. I mean, I guess he *is* technically my favorite producer- he made The Beatles sound so much better than they actually sounded and is arguably more responsible for their artistic success than any other producer has ever been for any other artist. I just put Lee Perry because he's the only producer who's also one of my favorite artists, period.
There's no excuse for not knowing anything about visual art in the digital age. Educate yourself, son. Dali is an obvious choice but an honest one for me. His work just moves me on more levels than any other artist's. There's also Hieronymus Bosch (you probably know the work even if you don't recognize the name), Francis Bacon and Otto Dix (along with Dali, I consider these guys "The Big 4"). Other favorites of mine I recommend checking out: MC Escher (again, you definitely know the work), Andy Goldsworthy, Odilon Redon, George Grosz, Rene Magritte (another you probably know), HR Giger (the designer of the creatures in the "Alien" films), Ludwig Meidner, Ralph Steadman ("Fear & Loathing" illustrator), Dr. Seuss (his paintings and sculptures are dope) and Deirdre Luzwick.
