I don't exactly *disagree* with anything you said about "Skull Island" (hadn't noticed the lack of blood though) but still basically enjoyed it. Like I said to Jamie, what were you expecting?
So um wait- what's your opinion of the new "Star Wars" exactly? You seem to be focusing more on the backlash/debate than your own thoughts.
I basically said the same about "Obscured By Clouds" after the recent thread about how underrated it was. Sure, it's more consistent than "More" but whereas most of that album features actual songs, most of "Clouds" consists of mere sketches. I'm never *not* aware that I'm listening to a soundtrack when it's on. At times, it's so generic, it barely sounds like Floyd. And yes, the fact that such a forgettable song like "Wot's Uh The Deal" is often called a highlight illustrates the problem with the album.
Yeah so Stereolab have a clearly defined sound that they never really strayed from, despite a more pronounced VU and krautrock influence on the earlier stuff. I still wouldn't say most of their albums are interchangable. "Sound Dust" strikes me as one of their simplest, most accessible and ultimately most successful albums.
Ew you FB stalked me to try to get AH on the board? "Only found one pic of Alpha Hammer in your friends list"? Are you being "funny" here or do you truly have no idea how FB works? Just create an account, you little weirdo.
